In November 2013 more than 700 digital print professionals met in Rome for Print Grand Prix. The second Dscoop EMEA annual conference featured over 30 sessions in 5 tracks of high quality education. The Solutions Showcase and Print Pavilion hosted 40 partners exhibiting their latest products and innovations.
"The internet has taken away many things from digital print but it has also created huge new opportunities at the same time. With smartphones in our pockets we have the ability to create and publish like never before.
We are now printing lots of short runs of many variations of content. Not one PSP based in London (Gary's company Precision Printing is based in London) can do that on a global scale. So we need to work together as a network to deliver digital print solutions globally. By working with Dscoop members and partners from across the globe we can create very powerful distribution networks that allows printed products to be delivered quickly and efficiently around the planet.
Most exciting thing for me about the conference in Rome was the energy. Over half the attendees were at a Dscoop conference for the first time, and the engagement between attendees and partners was really inspiring. The passion for our industry was there. When we launched Dscoop in EMEA there was some scepticism that people from different cultural background would not be talking to each other about their businesses. That is not the case as we've seen in Rome in 2013, in Barcelona in 2012 and ... what we will see in Budapest in 2014!"
Are you ready to go to Budapest?
On 25-26-27 June 2014 Dscoop members and partners will meet in Budapest, Hungary for the third annual Dscoop EMEA conference. This year's event offers a brand new format with a focus on business growth and efficiency.
