July #HPrinted Story: Vivid Ink Comes to the Rescue of Miss USA Pageant

Dscoop member Vivid Ink, based in Baton Rouge, LA, came to the rescue for the Miss USA 2014 pageant last month.

A local TV station noticed that Louisiana was spelled incorrectly on the Miss Louisiana page. Since another printer had typeset and printed the programs, Vivid Ink acknowledged the error and committed to helping the team from Miss USA fix this and a few other design changes. With less than 48 hours of production time, the Vivid Ink team reprinted 1,000 96-page perfect bound programs for the main event on their HP Indigo 5500 and saved the Miss USA organization from further embarrassment. Mark Goodson, Vivid Ink general manager said, “Without our HP Indigo, we would not have been able to help the Miss Universe organization with this high value project.”
