Steven Schnoll, managing director of Schnoll Media Consulting, will have a busy speaking schedule during GRAPH EXPO 2011 in Chicago September 10-14, 2011. After his successful presentation at Executive Outlook in 2010 he was asked back to speak in their new quick hard hitting format this year. Steven also has two educational session assignments as well as speaking at the Print Buyers International Program. Schnoll is a 40 plus year industry veteran with a reputation for thinking out of the box, he has concentrated much of his energy over the past few years on cross-media applications that can improve enterprise revenue streams.
This year’s Executive Outlook Conference, is titled "Embracing Technology and Market Trends for Profitability." The annual Pre-GRAPH EXPO event will reposition after 15 years with a multi-faceted quick takeaway program. The program has been enhanced to be a more blended analysis of key market trends associated with relevant technology enhancements. With a diverse group of speakers, this year's Executive Outlook promises to deliver attendees with indispensable information on how to use technology to gain a competitive advantage in today's economy. Schnoll will present his views on what it takes to become a Marketing Service Provider. Schnoll’s short and rapid fire style should stimulate attendees to some smart thinking of what businesses need to do to thrive in this changing media climate.
GRAPH EXPO Educational Sessions
Steven will be presenting two diverse educational programs demonstrating his varied and eclectic knowledge pool. The first on Sunday morning, deals with technology challenges and the second on Tuesday afternoon providing selling insights.
Technologies rapidly changing face
Used to be all you needed to know, was, what was the latest in press accessories, software releases or CTP. Now technologies like QR codes, Microsoft Tags, Augmented Reality, 3D Printing, The Cloud, RFID, Nanotechnology, SEO/SEM, Social Media and several others are impacting the graphics industry in a dramatic fashion. The session will illustrate what is real and what does a progressive company have to consider and scrutinize to ensure future success.
Send in the clowns?
Traditional sales people have generally been finding a great deal of difficulty in identifying with new digital sales opportunities. They have acted like clowns in front of key customers when it comes to discussing new digital technologies. These are serious issues that can be avoided if handled properly.
Steven will offer recommendations on how to leverage existing sales relationships by instituting new team selling strategies. While team selling is not a new concept, it is often a foreign concept to traditional print sales people. Egos often stand in the way of getting marketing and selling efforts moving forward. Who are the right people for the team, how to create a homogenous presentation and compensation methods will be highlighted.
Print Buyers International
Companies of all sizes are focusing on how to best use cross media strategies to improve the bottom line. The critical question is what exactly does that mean to the professional print buyer. Schnoll in his imitable interactive style will take the role of the great fictional detective Sherlock Holmes to search for the clues of what print buying may look like in the future based on historical facts. This is a session not to be missed.
“I am grateful that the Graphic Arts Show Company has again asked me to participate in this vital annual program. Education is the key to the future.” Steven continues “I look to make education fun and interactive because one tends to comprehend new information better when it is all presented in an entertaining fashion.” Schnoll comments, “No longer is status quo an option as a means to the end, and as we all know, given the current state of printing, you have to think out of the box. I hope that those who are able to attend one or more of my four sessions during Graph Expo will obtain a practical look into the future of content.”
