Chicago — Dscoop (Digital Solutions Cooperative) announces that its continued expansion worldwide will culminate next year in major events worldwide, including Dscoop7 and a member event at drupa.
“This is an exciting time for Dscoop,” said Eric Hawkinson, executive director of Dscoop. “In 2009, we expanded into Asia-Pacific and by the end of this year, we will expand into Europe and Latin America, based on the needs of the HP Graphic Arts customers in those regions and their passion for carrying on the Dscoop community spirit. While we have experienced tremendous growth in membership and conference attendance, we believe we have just scaled the tip of the iceberg.”
The 2012 annual conference, Dscoop7, to be held March 22-24 in Washington, D.C., features networking opportunities and three full days of education focused on Business and Sales, Operations, Label and Packaging, and Grand Format tracks. The conference will also feature a heavy emphasis on servicing brand managers and how Dscoop members can build those relationships.
“We’ve heard from our members participating in the Fast Forward Power Pack program that they are looking for resources to reach the brand owners at prospective clients,” Hawkinson said. “That’s why we are involving brand influencers to lead multiple sessions at Dscoop7. They will be able to build on the education we currently provide and provide insight into how to work with leading brands in all industries. This is a significant evolution of our conference education, but it reflects on what our members have been asking for.”
Dscoop is also planning a member event to be held at drupa, May 3-17, 2012 in Germany. The event will allow Dscoop members across the world to meet and exchange ideas and thoughts on running their business.
