Emart's Shadow QR Code (You Tube video)

To increase sales during lunchtime, Korea’s Emart superstore launched a “shadow QR code”—effective only with the sunlight and shadow of the lunch hour, 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Consumers who scan the code during the hour it's available are taken to eMart’s “Sunny Sale” mobile site, where they can get special deals and purchase items for delivery.

Among other results, Emart experienced a 25 percent increase in sales of Emart mall during the lunch hour.
