CP Graphics Succeeds with its Technology and People Focus

Through its emphasis on the customer experience, CP Graphics has experienced substantial growth despite a wavering economy. CP Graphics, a Tucson, Ariz.-based print shop-turned-marketing asset management company, has grown its revenues by more than 30 percent year over year in 2011. CP Graphics President Jake Walker acquired the company (previously known as City Press) at the end of 2010, and although he knew little about the printing industry, he set out to rebrand and reinvent the business—which he has done successfully.

CP Graphics continues to offer printing—specializing in both digital, short-run, quick-turn projects and off-set commercial printing—yet the company’s major objective is to be a marketing partner to both national and regional companies. Today, CP Graphics offers a suite of services including graphic design, Web design, print and mail services, warehousing and fulfillment and dedicated account management. Now, a national brand can partner with CP Graphics to develop Web-to-print and print-on-demand solutions, as well as execute strategic marketing plans without hiring in-house marketing staff or agencies.

CP Graphics also recently acquired San Diego, Calif.-based ScoreboardWhiz.com, an industry leader in the development, marketing and delivery of custom golf tournament scoring and marketing materials. Walker said that he hopes this acquisition is the first of many to come as CP Graphics continues with its aggressive expansion plan.
