Coca-Cola and Procter & Gamble Presenting Sessions on Value Chain and Sustainability at Dscoop EMEA

Print United, the inaugural Dscoop EMEA conference, brings high-level executives from Coca-Cola Europe and The Procter & Gamble Co. to deliver education for the label and packaging industry. Print United will be held 7-9 November 2012 at the Hotel Arts in Barcelona, Spain. All educational sessions will be presented in English with live translations in French, Italian, German and Spanish.

Till Schütte, European head of Design and Graphics Production at Coca-Cola, will discuss how forces such as flexibility, individualism, speed and shopper behaviour impact the value chain of creating a label. He shares how Coca-Cola works with agencies, customers and print suppliers to meet consumer as well as present and future shopper needs.

Jürgen Dornheim, section head of Global Packaging Research and Development at Procter & Gamble, will focus on how sustainability is driving packaging strategy. Through his work for the brands Braun, Oral-B, Crest and Gillette, Dornheim explores how P&G is challenging its partners to develop innovative concepts to minimise the company’s environmental footprint to adjust to new consumer expectations.

“Print United offers an extremely strong educational programme for HP Indigo users, whether they are in label and packaging or commercial print,” said Jon Tolley, conference chairman and managing director at U.K.-based Prime Group. “If you work with an HP Indigo, you’ll want to sign up early because spaces are limited at our venue in beautiful Barcelona.”

Dscoop EMEA is an independent, not-for-profit member organization, but works closely with executive sponsor HP to ensure the education and networking opportunities reach the universe of HP Indigo customers.

“Dscoop EMEA is still in its infancy, but it’s quickly becoming indispensable for every HP Indigo customer,” said Ronen Zioni, EMEA market development director, Graphics Solutions Business, HP. “Not only does it offer chances to meet in-person with peers to partner on projects and learn together, but it also is a year-round online community that keeps reaping benefits after the conference.”

All HP Indigo customers are invited to join Dscoop and register for Print United. The conference is only open to Dscoop members.

Company membership including one conference ticket costs € 895 (exclusive of VAT). Additional conference tickets cost € 295 (exclusive of VAT).

Registration for Print United is open. Visit www.dscoop.org/printunited for updates.
