Antalis proud Platinum Sponsor of HP Graphic Art users event Dscoop
EMEA – November 7-9 2012
Barcelona, Spain, November 7th 2012 – As further evidence of its commitment to the digital printing industry, Antalis, the leading European distributor of paper, packaging solutions and visual communications products, is bringing its support to Dscoop EMEA which takes place in Barcelona, home to HP Graphic Arts Demo Center. Digital Solutions Cooperative brings together an independent community of graphic arts business owners and technical professionals who use HP Graphic Arts equipment and related solutions.
A strong advocate of the business and communications opportunities created by digital printing, Antalis will leverage this platform to present its flagship Digital-to-Business (d2b) initiative devised to help printers, communications agencies and advertisers optimise their return on each euro invested in digital printing equipments and applications.
Dscoop and d2b: working towards a common goal
Today, digital printing represents approximately 15% of the total printing market's revenue in Europe. However, market studies confirm that this market share will steadily grow in the years ahead to reach more than 30% by 20181. This growth is being driven by advances in digital printing technology with HP leading the way. The d2b initiative aims to help the various digital printing stakeholders understand and seize these opportunities by providing media designed for digital printing and regular occasions to share experiences and best practices. In this manner, d2b is completely aligned with the objectives of Dscoop.
“It made complete sense for us to be part of this important industry event which brings together some 500 HP digital printing equipment users eager to gain insight into how they can optimize their return on investment” stated Xavier Jouvet, Group Marketing and Purchasing Director, Antalis International. “We work closely with HP to ensure our digital media are certified for superior performance on their production presses and they have participated in a number of our d2b roadshows and other events across Europe. Sponsoring Dscoop EMEA will serve to cement our relationship even further.”
Xavier Jouvet will present Antalis’ d2b initiative during a conference to be held on November 8th at 4pm. Throughout the course of the event, visitors will also be able to discover Antalis’ complete paper and visual communications offering designed for digital printing technologies.

The premium coated Digigreen paper range is one of the key ranges in the d2b family. It is HP Indigo-certified with a 3-star rating guaranteeing that it delivers perfect runnability, ink adhesion and blanket compatibility. As its name suggests, in addition to being a 100% digital paper, Digigreen is also an eco-responsible medium completely in keeping with Antalis’ commitment to sustainable development.
Produced with recycled and virgin fibres, Digigreen holds FSC® and European Ecolabel and complies with the REACH (Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals) certification, a European standard which aims to reduce use of chemical substances in production and distribution processes. Digigreen has also been produced in factories adhering to the environmental ISO 14001 standard.
Coala, Antalis’ new best-of-breed range of flexible, Large Format Printers (LFP) visual communication products launched at Fespa Digital in February 2012, is another cornerstone of the d2b media range. The Coala collection includes 20 products for water-based ink and 54 for solvent/UV/latex ink. It therefore provides printers with the versatility and performance they need to deliver premium quality print jobs to end customers.
Finally, Antalis is the only paper merchant to distribute the entire Arjowiggins Creative Papers Digital range. This collection brings together a fine selection of papers from across the Conqueror, Curious Collection, Pop’Set, Keaykolour and Rives ranges.
d2b market managers, events and co-marketing activities to evangelise and educate
Antalis has appointed d2b market managers in a number of its strategic digital markets to provide expertise regarding the media best suited to individual digital applications, to facilitate contacts and propose joint market development activities with digital printing stakeholders. d2b market managers from France, Germany, Spain and the UK will be on hand at the Barcelona event to interact with local HP Indigo and other HP graphic art equipment users.
In its efforts to educate and accompany customers and end-users, Antalis is also committed to regularly organising local roadshows and other events across Europe that bring together communications agencies, printers and corporate marketing & communications directors to discuss and exchange on market trends, needs and expectations. Co-marketing activities organized with printers to showcase their capabilities and drive business opportunities are another integral part of the d2b initiative.
“Our ultimate objective in launching the d2b initiative and participating in Dscoop EMEA is to act as a business facilitator, driving the momentum of the digital printing sector. We can only achieve this goal by working in tandem with the various industry stakeholders, of which HP is one of the most strategic, and ensuring that we share a common voice and a common goal,” concluded Xavier Jouvet.
