Dscoop EMEA: by working together we are stronger

From Jon Tolley Prime Group (UK) and Dscoop EMEA conference chair:

As conference chair to the Dscoop EMEA inaugural event, I leave with an immense sense of pride and joy. Having planned this conference for the last 18 months we had questions. During the very 1st discussions we asked ourselves if this could be done in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Can we really share? What is a great location for the party? Does the content match our expectations and standards? Have we thought of all final finishing touches? Having seen all this unfold right before my eyes has been nothing short of amazing.

The Dscoop board for EMEA do this as volunteers. We do it because we love our industry. We truly believe that by working together, we are indeed stronger. Witnessing 500 people from 30 different countries talking, sharing, networking, creating new partnerships and friends together at this first event made all the hard work worthwhile.

Dscoop EMEA will now only grow stronger, we are already receiving 100’s of emails praising our first event from you, the user, our valuable partners, HP and the press. We have heard stories of business deals taking place at the event and partnerships unfolding across countries. We had lots of users talk to us at the conference and get in touch with us about getting more involved and how can they help, this is brilliant!

No other user group in the world for our industry can stake a claim on our achievements, we should all be very proud to have been there at the start. We all were there to see it happen for our region.

In 2005 Mr Jack Glacken had a vision to create a HP user group, to realize that vision in Europe is something truly brilliant. Little did my now friend Jack realize what would unfold before his very eyes.
