    Chris Petro

    Dscoop Chairman

    President and CEO, GlobalSoft Digital Solutions

    USA

    At GlobalSoft, Chris Petro is responsible for keeping the company abreast with the leading edge digital technology and targeted marketing strategies available to its clients. He also is responsible for establishing and deploying the company's strategic, financial, and human resource initiatives. He is also currently spearheading the company's European location launch. Prior to founding GlobalSoft, Chris was the pioneer of the Personalization Division at Uarco. Petro received a bachelor’s in international business administration from William Paterson University. He is a member of NAPL, The Bergen 200 Club, NJSIAA and currently serves as a board member of the Hewlett Packard Digital Print Advisory Council.

    Alon Bar-Shany

    Vice President and General Manager, Indigo Division, HP

    Alon Bar-Shany is vice president and general manager of the Indigo Division in the Imaging and Printing Group at HP. Based in Rehovot, Israel, he has held worldwide responsibility for the HP Indigo business since 2004. Prior to this role, he ran the Indigo business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). From 2001 to 2002, Bar-Shany was responsible for the HP Indigo business in Asia-Pacific, Latin America and Israel as well as the distributor channels in EMEA. During this period, he also led the cross-organizational program for the industrial segment. Bar-Shany also served as chief financial officer and corporate vice president of finance of Indigo. He holds a bachelor of arts in history and economics and an MBA from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.

    David Minnett

    Director, Tangent Snowball Australia

    As one of Australia’s pioneers in the digital printing industry with over 17 years experience in working with HP Indigo, David has led many of the innovations and new applications launched in the industry over this time. Following the acquisition of Group Momentum by one of Sydney’s leading offset printers Rawson Graphics, David is working with the directors of the business to develop the creative services offerings of the firm and the service offerings that now extends to B2B and B2C marketing support. David is also working as a Director of Tangent Snowball Australia “TSA” and is broadening the marketing services offerings of the business in Australia, so it is better aligned with those provided by Tangent PLC in the U.K., one of Europe’s largest digital agencies and digital printers. TSA delivers complex ecommerce solutions via its OSCAR open source ecommerce platform that require multicurrency and multi-lingual ecommerce capabilities that can support in excess of 25 million SKU’s.

    David is also an active member of the Australian Graphic Design Association, Australian Writers and Art Directors Association and the Direct Marketing Association (U.S.).

    Yukinori "Yuki" Okamoto

    Co-Founder, CEO, Pullcast, Inc.

    Yukinori "Yuki" Okamoto is a cheif executive officer of Pullcast Inc., located in Tokyo, Japan. After spending over 15 years in a digital printing company, building the organization as one of the most innovative services in Japan, Yuki and his team have span off to focus more on web-to-print business development to accomodate dynamic market shifting. Pullcast now serves enterprises and large agency directories, providing OEM of its own web-to-print platform, "PSF.2". Pullcast and its production partners throughout Japan are linked via Workflow to control platform to provide high-value, high-speed services to enterprises.

    Yuki is considered a web-to-print service thought-leader in Japan and influential in industry groups

    Gary Peeling

    Managing Director, Precision Printing Co Ltd. 

    UK

    Over the past 25 years, Peeling has worked to build and develop Precision Printing. His work at Precision has enabled him to indulge his passion for solution-building as the company has delivered successful print management systems across multiple sectors to corporate clients such as American Express and Sony. The company has also supported leading consumer brands in the photo, greeting card and self-publishing space, delivering the results that printing as physical media can uniquely bring. Peeling is passionate about developing print media and his business, working and innovating to ensure the future of both by pioneering new techniques in digital print production, seamless print integration, automated workflow solutions, photo product production, litho, and digital print hubs and Web-to-print. 

     

     

    Jan Riecher

    Vice President and General Manager, Imaging and Printing Group, HP

    Jan Riecher is vice president and general manager of the U.S. Graphics Solutions Business (GSB) in the Imaging and Printing Group (IPG) at HP. In this role, Riecher leads efforts in the graphic arts market, including overall regional responsibilities large-format printers (HP Designjet and HP Scitex), HP Indigo digital presses, the High-speed Production Solutions division (HP Inkjet Web Press), HP Specialty Systems and Light Production Solutions.

    Mark Sarpa

    CEO, Progressive Solutions

    USA

    Just a few years after earning a business degree and MBA, Sarpa teamed with Scott Feldman to form Progressive Solutions. As the company's president, Sarpa directs sales and system development. Also he is one of the co-creators of the Frecklebox.com line of personalized children's books. Away from work, Sarpa fills out the line-up card at little league games, rides noisy machines o'er sand dunes, and generally attempts to keep up with his wife and three kids. Additionally, Sarpa serves as the Dscoop treasurer and on the newsletter committee.

    Jon Tolley

    Managing Director, Prime Group (Nottingham, U.K.)

    UK

    Tolley joined Prime Group in 1991 and along with his brother, took over the business in 1994. He takes a keen interest in the latest production techniques (including all Web-related solutions) and everything beyond the printed sheet. Prime Group has one of world’s largest installations of DirectSmile technology, which means they deliver millions of printed personalised images each year for calendars, greeting cards and notebooks.

    Larry Vaughn

    Visionary/Sales & Marketing, Seebridge Media

    USA

    Larry Vaughn began in the print industry in 1977 and founded Ideal Printers in 1986 as a three-person operation. With his strong abilities in sales and sales management, Larry was able to find profitable niches that led to consistent growth. As digital printing technology became commercially viable over the past 10 years, he became a leading innovator in educating his customer base on the benefits of just-in-time production methods. Vaughn is one of the co-founders of Dscoop and has served on multiple advisory councils sponsored by HP. Understanding the need to be able to provide cross-media communications, Vaughn merged his company in 2012 into Seebridge Media. He is responsible for the sales and marketing activities of Seebridge Media.

     

       
       

     

     


     

    Mike Fogarty

    Executive Director, Dscoop

    Mike has more than 15 years of experience as a marketing and business development professional, driving revenue and market share increases. Mike started his career in the print industry and was an active participant in the transition from offset to digital. Over his career, he has developed a global network, serving clients in the United States and Canada, EMEA, and Asia Pacific.


    Prior to joining Dscoop, Mike was founder and CEO of Kokopelli Communications Group. During his 13 years with Kokopelli, he helped it grow from a direct response start-up to a full-service ad agency. Kokopelli offered analytically driven creative for branding, marketing and advertising campaigns.


    Mike will lead all aspects of the organization's strategy and operations, manage the Dscoop headquarters team, and assume responsibility for meeting the strategic and operational goals set by Dscoop's leadership. He holds a B.S. from Indiana University and an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

    Leta Wood

    HP Executive Liaison

    As Customer Forums manager for HP Graphics Arts, Leta Wood integrates customer knowledge and feedback into the marketing and product strategies of HP. Wood develops and leads customer advisory groups that regularly provide feedback to HP, which allows for a 360-degree focus on customer needs and visions—items that are critical as HP creates long-term business strategies and products. She also serves as the liaison between Dscoop and HP. In this position, she provides strategic insight and education to thousands of HP Graphic Arts users throughout the year.
