Speaker Logistics


Please complete the online registration form on or before Friday, January 31, 2014.  If you are not a Dscoop member, please email Cellie Morales (speakers@dscoop.org) for the non-member registration link.  

Please arrive at the hotel at least one hour prior to your presentation. Upon your arrival, please check in and pick up your name badge at the registration desk. Please note that you are a speaker to the registration staff.

You are responsible for reserving your own hotel room. Dscoop9 presenters will be staying at the Gaylord Palms Hotel and Convention Center or the Orlando World Center Marriott.  

Please book your hotel reservations by Friday, January 31, 2014 since the hotel normally sells out.  Please note that we cannot guarantee hotel reservations at the Gaylord Palms Hotel and Convention Center after January 31, 2014.

Wireless is not available in the convention center and meeting areas and will not be available in session rooms.

For those staying at the Gaylord Palms, high-speed wireless and wired internet access is available in your guestroom as part of your room rate along with wireless internet access in the lobby and public areas. Meeting space is not included


If you need a room in which to prepare for your presentation, please see Dscoop staff at the registration desk. We are happy to accommodate your needs.


Generally, suggested dress is business casual for both day and evening events. In March, the average daily temperature in Orlando is 74° F. We recommend that you bring a light jacket or sweater with you because the session rooms tend to be chilly.

Session evaluations will be available in the mobile app. Evaluation results will be compiled and sent to you within four weeks after the conference.


Please note that we are not able to make hard copies of any handouts for your session. After the conference has concluded, we will post all presentations on the Dscoop website as well as the mobile app.Please send any additional material you would like posted to Dscoop Education and Learning Services.
